Thy Word

Grant & Smith

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet
And a light unto my path.

 When I feel afraid
Think I've lost my way
Still you're there right beside me
And nothing will I fear
As long as you are near
Please be near me to the end

Jesus said ... “You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.”
— John 4:22

What do you know? Really, really know? Where do you get your information? What kind of access do you have to it? Do you trust the information you get?

We get a lot of information from the television, radio, computer, and social media. Chances are though, even in today's fast-paced world, much of the information we get we still have to read - from the internet, mail service, documentation, etc. Sometimes we have to read, and read it again, to make sure we have not missed anything.

Behold, we are invited to read the greatest Story of all! When you need a break from the news these days, when you could use a mental break, I invite you to turn to the Good News, the Best News of all!

Behold, we are invited to read and to read again, all God's Word is telling us! Behold, we are invited to be convicted by and to celebrate even more, "what we know" as "we worship what we know" and who we know, knows us. Behold, we have access to the truest and most trusted Source!

Behold! "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path." Do you know this? Have you read this? Behold, read it again, and do not miss a thing!

Let us pray: Lord, I still do not know everything there is to know about you. I do not even see or take notice of all Thy Word is making known to me. Send your Holy Spirit, and I will behold again and again all that I know in the Best News of all, all that I know in your faithfulness, your renewing power, and your grace. In your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
