Theme for the Day: Thanks Be To God For Every Sign Of Love … All Made Ready!
Season Theme: Celebrating And Sharing Signs Of Love In The Grace Of Jesus Christ!
Readings: Matthew 25:1-13
Are you ready?
In this week's Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the ten bridesmaids waiting for the arrival of the bridegroom. All are invited. All are waiting. Yet when the moment finally comes, some are prepared to receive it while others discover they are not ready.
Jesus invites us to live with eyes open and hearts prepared, ready to recognize the countless ways God's goodness and grace are already breaking into our lives. Readiness is not about predicting when God will act. It is about living each day in faith, trusting God's promises and remaining open to His presence among us.
As Thanksgiving approaches, this parable also invites us to consider what it means to be ready to give thanks. God's blessings surround us every day, yet how easily we can hurry past them. Through the Holy Spirit, God opens our eyes to see His goodness, opens our hearts to receive His grace, and opens our lives to respond with gratitude.
Each sign of love becomes another reminder that God has already been at work making us ready. In Jesus Christ, we have been given grace upon grace. We are invited to see it, receive it, call upon it, give thanks for it, and share it with others.
