Readings: Matthew 22:1-14
You are invited!
In this week's Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of a wedding banquet. Invitations have been sent, a feast has been prepared, and everything is ready. Yet those first invited choose not to come. The invitation then reaches farther and wider, welcoming others to come, gather, and share in the celebration.
Through this parable, Jesus reveals another powerful sign of God's love: the invitation of grace. God reaches out to us, calls us, and invites us into a life and relationship with Him. The invitation is not something we earn or deserve. It is given freely because God first loves us.
Yet an invitation asks for a response. God entrusts each of us with the opportunity to answer, to receive His grace, and to allow that grace to shape the way we live. Again and again, God calls us from wherever we are, inviting us to the table, into community, and into a life of faith and love.
As we continue Celebrating And Sharing Signs Of Love In The Grace Of Jesus Christ!, may we recognize God's invitations all around us. Each new day brings opportunities to receive grace, share love, serve our neighbors, and invite others to experience the welcome God has already extended to us.
