Confirmation Sunday is a joyful reminder that faith is not simply a milestone to reach, but a lifelong journey of growing in God's grace. As we celebrate our confirmands and the promises they make, we also remember that each day is an opportunity for all of us to be renewed in faith, hope, and love.
In this week's Gospel, the religious leaders question Jesus' authority. Rather than answering with worldly power or position, Jesus points them toward a deeper wisdom that can only be recognized through humble and faithful hearts. God's authority is revealed not through control or status, but through love, mercy, and the transforming power of grace.
As we continue our September theme, Celebrating And Sharing A New Beginning In God's Grace Alone!, we are reminded that God's wisdom continually invites us to see life differently. Christ calls us beyond appearances, beyond assumptions, and beyond the expectations of this world into a life shaped by compassion, forgiveness, and faithful obedience.
Today, as we celebrate those affirming their baptismal faith, may we all be confirmed anew in God's love and wisdom. Through the Holy Spirit, God continues to strengthen, guide, and encourage us each and every day, giving us fresh opportunities to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.
