Do you ever wish you could add more hours to your day? Do you long to control the future, or feel anxious about what lies ahead? In this week’s Gospel (Luke 21:5–19), Jesus speaks about the future and the end times, but his words are not meant to unsettle us. Instead, they point us to trust in the God who holds all time—past, present, and future—in faithful hands.

This Sunday we gather to remember that while we may not know what tomorrow brings, we can give thanks and praise today. In God’s time, we are graced, blessed, and held secure.
