Nourishment for Body and Soul
Join us this Lent for one last evening of fellowship, reflection, and grace-filled renewal as we gather under our 2026 Lenten theme: “Seven Words: Simple, Powerful, Renewing Words, In Grace Alone!”
Each Wednesday during Lent, we will begin with a Soup Supper at 6:30 p.m., sharing a simple meal and time together until 7:15 p.m. Following dinner, we will move into the Sanctuary for a brief devotional service from 7:15 to 7:30 p.m.
Our midweek services will include:
A dramatic reading centered on one of the Seven Words
A personal reflection shared by a member of our congregation
Prayer and communal worship as we journey toward the cross and the empty tomb
Midweek, Wednesday, March 25 – “A Thirst Quenched!” – 7 p.m.
Drama: Lazarus, Mary & Martha
Personal Reflection:
“I thirst.” From the cross, Jesus speaks words of deep human need. The One who offered living water now names his own longing. As we remember Lazarus, Mary, and Martha, we are reminded that Christ enters fully into our grief, our waiting, and our hope. In him, every thirst is seen, and in him, true life is given.
This evening will conclude our Lenten Soup Suppers and Devotional Services for the season. We give thanks for the fellowship, the meals shared, the stories told, and the grace received. As we look ahead to Holy Week, may these simple, powerful words continue to renew us in faith and hope.
If you would like to help provide soup, sides, or other items for our meals, sign-up sheets are available in the Narthex. You may also email Pastor Jamie at jamie.thompson@lordoflifemn.org if you would like to contribute.
All are welcome. Come be nourished in body and soul as we gather in grace, community, and renewal this Lenten season.
