I believe in Jesus
The Savior of all people
Savior of all people
Savior of all people
I believe in Jesus
The Savior of all people
Savior of all people
Savior of all people

Jesus heard that they had driven out the blind man after Jesus restored his sight, and when Jesus found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He answered, “And who is he, sir? Tell me, so that I may believe in him.” Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and the one speaking with you is he.” He said, “Lord, I believe.” And he worshiped him.
— John 9:35-38

Have you ever been in despair? Have you ever felt forsaken? Have you ever wondered what can be trusted, what you can believe?

Times and circumstances can often leave us questioning so much, wondering so much, uncertain about so much, longing for so much, hoping for so much, wanting to still believe in so much!

What are some of the things you believe in? Tomorrow. Gravity. Good guys never win. You can beat any circumstance. New beginnings. Forgiveness. Hope. Miracles. Grace. The Holy Spirit. God The Almighty. Jesus Christ.

As we continue to journey through Lent, this week we turn our attention to Jesus' simple powerful words, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" Jesus on the cross, true God, true man, was experiencing human suffering at its core. He had every right to cry out in pain. In the midst of feeling broken, he called on the only name of the One he believed provided new beginnings, hope, miracles, grace ... "My God, My God."

Jesus came to the blind man. Believe Jesus comes to you! In our despair, when we feel forsaken, let us like Jesus call on our God, let us like the blind man, boldly say, "Lord, I believe!"

Let us pray: My God, My God, today I call on you. I believe you are the only One to rescue me, save me, protect me, bless me. I praise you, for you come to me, you open my eyes to see and to believe anew, even when uncertainty and despair and suffering try to blind me and close my eyes to faith. By your Holy Spirit, even when I can feel so broken and lost, I believe you will never forsake me; truly I believe it! Amen.
