Sunday, January 18, 2026 – The Second Sunday After Epiphany
Theme for the Day: A New Finding Is Only the Beginning
Epiphany Season Theme: Celebrating Only the Beginning in the Light and Grace of Jesus Christ
Readings: John 1:29–42
In this Second Sunday of Epiphany, we continue to explore how God reveals Christ to the world and to our lives, again and again. In John 1:29–42, Jesus finds the disciples before they ever fully understand who he is. He calls them by name and invites them with simple, powerful words: “Come and see.”
This story reminds us that faith often begins not with having everything figured out, but with being found by Christ and stepping forward in trust. Each discovery leads to another, each encounter opens the door to more light, more grace, and more calling. In Epiphany, every new finding is only the beginning of what God is making known.
As we worship, we are invited to listen for Christ’s call in our own lives and to trust that what God reveals today leads to even more tomorrow.
Worship Highlights:
Scripture: John 1:29–42
Message: “A New Finding Is Only the Beginning”
In Person: Worship at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Lakeville, Minnesota
Please Note: There will be no livestream of worship and no Faith Quest this Sunday due to the holiday weekend.
Let us worship together and trust that when Christ calls us to come and see, it is always the beginning of something more in the light and grace of Jesus Christ.
