  • Lord of Life Lutheran Church 16200 Dodd Lane Lakeville, MN, 55044 United States (map)

Join us on Saturday, March 2nd, as we embark on a journey of discovery into the sacred sacrament of Holy Communion. This special class is tailored for children in 4th grade and older who have not yet participated in a formal "Communion" or "First Communion" program.

Class Agenda:

  • 10:00 a.m. - Registration and gathering with parents

  • 10:00-10:30 a.m. - Devotions, heartfelt conversations, and important details shared with parents

  • 10:30 a.m. - Parents are warmly invited to depart

  • 10:30-12:00 noon - Engaging class time featuring Bible study, reflective storytelling, and comprehensive instruction. Delve into questions like: What is Communion? Who initiated it? Why do we partake in it? How is Jesus present in this sacred act? Discover the essence of sharing communion and more!

  • 12:00-12:30 p.m. - Exciting scavenger hunt, review session, and further exploration

Special Recognition:
Children who participate in this enlightening class will be honored during our Maundy Thursday service on March 28th at 7 p.m. Each child will receive a beautiful flower, a certificate commemorating their journey, and a cherished Bible. During the service, families will joyfully share communion together, as is our tradition at Lord of Life. For those unable to attend on Maundy Thursday, Bibles and certificates will be lovingly prepared and await them upon their return to our congregation, ensuring they can partake in communion in this newfound way.
