My Life Is In You, Lord

Gardner

My life is in You Lord
My strength is in You Lord
My hope is in You Lord
In You it's in You
My life is in You Lord
My strength is in You Lord
My hope is in You Lord
In You it's in You

I will praise You with all of my life
I will praise You with all of my strength
With all of my life
With all of my strength
All of my hope is in You

My life is in You Lord
My strength is in You Lord
My hope is in You Lord
In You it's in You
My life is in You Lord
My strength is in You Lord
My hope is in You Lord
In You it's in You in You

“Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Those who love their life lose it, and those who hate their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”
— John 12:24-25

'I just can't do it any more.' 'I don't know how I'm going to make it.' 'I'm running out of energy.'

Do you ever feel like this? Like you do not know what gives you life, or what your life and hope are in? Do you ever feel like your Spirit is drying up? What would help you make it? What would help you never run out of energy or spirit? How does the Spirit help you bear fruit when the single grain in you is ready to dry up?

At this stage in our Lenten journey it is easy for us to wonder if we will make it. Is it worth it? Where will we get the energy to enter next week? May you trust your strength, your hope, your life, your eternal life will find its energy in one place and one place only when you are tired, as you prepare for Holy Week, as you meet each new day; in God's grace alone - in You, it's in You, in You!

Let us pray: Jesus, today I tell you I have much in my life that is drying up. I want to bear fruit for you, especially as Holy Week approaches, and yet, I wonder how I will make it. I get frustrated and impatient. In your grace alone, Jesus, I will be blessed with energy and life, for my life is in You. In your name I am alive again, as I pray. Amen.
